March 2020 Canons Ashby Update

March 2020 Canons Ashby Update

The weather is getting warmer and the flowers are popping up this March. There's plenty going on in the garden behind the scenes and in the visitor areas. The garden team will be planting potatoes, peas, carrots and other veg which will be used in the tea-room when they're ready, or available for a donation from the honesty bench.

Behind the scenes, our volunteers have been busy planting a new hedge in celebration of the National Trust's 125th birthday. The hedge is made of a rich variety of plants which are great for pollinators. In a few years' time it will spread and grow to be a great shelter insect and animal life.

Check visitor opening hours, events and find out more about the work that's going on to care for Canons Ashby on our website. www.nationaltrust.org.uk/canons-ashby
