Acting on behalf of Middleton Cheney Parish Council.

Dear Resident.

Sunday the 10th Nov will be Remembrance Day where the nation come together to remember the fallen.

Please be advised that at 6 A.M. the Bagpiper will play at the War Shrine this will lead to the old wreaths being taken up then taken to the War Memorial, following the Branch Standard and Bagpiper to the north end of All Saints Church where they will be re-layed with a short ceremony followed by the bagpiper playing Flower of the Forest.

9:00 will see the parade starting at Cheney Court down High street around the War Shrine back up High street down church lane to the church for the remembrance service.

At this point the roadblocks will be lifted until the parade starts from the church down to the War Shrine at around 10:30.

The roads around the war shrine will be shut off for the period of the Wreath Laying Ceremony. Where not only are the wreaths being laid by different organisations and groups in the village also at 11:00 we will mark the silence by the Toll bell in the Church being rung for every name then the last post being played followed by the toll bell marking the end of the silence and the bugler. You will also see all standards being lowered as appropriate. Also, readers from Overthorpe and Chacombe as well as Middleton Cheney will read out the names of the fallen.

Thanks for your support Richard Solesbury -Timms (Chair).
