[Focus] on Photography at the Heseltine Gallery

29th February – 31st March

A call for entries. New photography open exhibition coming to The Heseltine Gallery in the New Year!

Launching for the first time in 2020, this exciting exhibition will celebrate photographic artwork by both emerging and established photographers. The exhibition will be displayed in the Heseltine Gallery at Chenderit School, which is dedicated to showing quality artwork from across the region.

A call for entries has now begun and photographers are encouraged to download an application pack from www.southnorthants.gov.uk/arts-and-culture to find out more details. The exhibition covers a range of media including digital photography, analogue photography, photo-silk screen printing, photography-based collage and photogravure.

All entries must be submitted digitally and will be selected by a panel of independent judges who will make their selection based on the quality and technique of each work. Judges and prizes for the exhibition will be announced early next year.

The gallery is also welcoming entries from younger talent across the region to form a special category for those aged between 11 and 18 years.

The exhibition is being organised by the Friends of the Heseltine Gallery and any questions should be directed to katie@katieboyce.co.uk. Deadline for entries is 31 January.

This exhibition will be a really exciting opportunity for anyone that has an interest in photography and wants the chance to share that with others. For emerging talent it is a great way to get your work noticed and

Background on the Heseltine Gallery
The Heseltine Gallery, located on the intersecting borders of four of central England's counties, is the region's major community art gallery space and is attracting increasing attention for the quality and range of its exhibition programme. On the Chenderit School campus, it aims to showcase the work of local and regional artists and craftspeople, as well as celebrate the achievements of students, through a busy programme of events. The gallery is organised and run by a committee of volunteers and supported by a membership scheme - 'The Friends of the Heseltine Gallery'. It is open to the public weekdays term-time, with extra weekend opening times for certain events.
