Sue has lived in Middleton Cheney most of her life and has been a member of the Parish Council for many years, being re-elected on 18th May 2015. Sue is currently acting as Chair.

Sue works tirelessly on all aspects of village life with specific interest in the heritage and history of the village and the parish, as well as her concerns about the environment including public rights of way and footpaths and fly tipping in the area.

In recognition of Sue's personal contribution to the promotion, achievement and delivery of community services, on the anniversary of 25 years on the Parish Council Sue was awarded the highest honour a Parish Council can give to any member of the Community, that of 'Honorary Freewoman' of the Parish, recognising the exceptional service she has rendered to the community.
