New Play Equipment - Vandalism has taken place and I apologise to any families who have been disappointed if their son or daughter has been unable to use the equipment. We have removed any sharp pieces today and I'm told it is now safe to use. This has been reported to the police this evening. Council here to help halt homelessness

Following a change in legislation, people threatened with homelessness in South Northamptonshire are being urged to contact the council as soon as they can.

The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 came into force this month and increases the number of people who are eligible for help.

Communities guide where nearly £600,000 is spent in South Northamptonshire

A total of £591,572 worth of Community Grants has been approved by South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) for projects in the district so far this year

Last month £162,500 was awarded to SNVB (South Northants Volunteer Bureau) to provide voluntary sector infrastructure support services, extending their existing SNC funding to 2021.

Bank holiday bins and opening times

Bin collections in South Northamptonshire will not be disrupted by the early May bank holiday, the council can confirm.

However, residents are reminded that South Northamptonshire Council's offices will be closed for the day.

The council offices at The Forum will be closed on Monday, 7 May and will reopen as normal on Tuesday, 8 May at 9am.
